Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial artist competing in the flyweight division in the UFC. She is the younger sister of fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start combat sports in the form of a Muay Thai Kickboxer. Antonia started her professional journey at the age of 23 in 2003. Antonina has been awarded numerous awards, such as the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Championships, Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, as well as the WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. She left the club and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina showed off her power of striking by tying Nievera with knees. Following this victory Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC at The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win with a unanimous decision. She was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss by prevailing Lucie Prudilova's battle at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler by submitting a rear naked choke. This was by far the most exciting fight of night for that bout. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 in her three subsequent matches, winning over Ariane Lipski, while losing to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
